PORT ARANSAS — Seven sea turtles were released into the wild Sunday at Marker 35 at Mustang Island at Tony Amos Beach in Port Aransas.

KRIS weekend reporter Kristen McAlister talked to Alicia Walker, program coordinator for the Amos Rehabilitation Keep at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute.

Four green sea turtles, two Kemp ridleys and a loggerhead were released back into the wild. The turtles were recovering from a variety of injuries, but have successfully recovered for their release back into the wild.

The ARK housed and recuperated the turtles as they returned to health.
