Attend a free half-day workshop to find out about nature based techniques to clean and conserve stormwater for people and wildlife, from your own backyard to a regional scale.
The Center for Coastal Studies along with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, TCEQ, NOAA and seven other conservation organizations have teamed together to hold this workshop.
This workshop will touch on the topics of collecting and cleansing stormwater at home and in your neighborhood. Using wetlands in flood control basins to enhance water quality and wildlife. As well as protecting and restoring large-scale wetlands and natural areas for flood control and water quality benefits.
The Center for Coastal Studies at TAMU-CC tells us that as the world’s population grows, over 50% of that population will live along the coast, which poses the threat to stormwater run-offs.
The workshop is free and will be in Corpus Christi on Friday March, 22nd from 9am-noon at the Del Mar Center for Economic Development, in room 106
Space is limited and you must register to attend.
