Corpus Christi police say a side-collision crash left one woman dead.

The crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Leopard Street and Tuloso Road.

First responders called out to major crash

Corpus Christi Senior Officer Richard Olden said a black Jeep was traveling eastbound in the 8000 block of Leopard Street when a red Isuzu that was stopped at the intersection entered the lane. Officer Olden said the red Isuzu was struck on the side.

Thursday evening, police said the crash claimed the life of Priscilla Salas. She was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, according to crash investigators.

CCPD officers said the crash investigation is still on-going.
