Southwest Airlines will begin flying to Hawaii later this month. Prices are going to be cheap – at least at the start – from the destinations where they will be flying from.

The Dallas Morning News reports the first flights will take off on March 17 and are currently listed as cheaply as $49 one-way. Initially, travels will have to fly Southwest out of Oakland to get to Hawaii, but he airline soon will open additional airport routes in upcoming months, according to Southwest’s website specifically built for its Hawaii routes.

The company has revealed it will fly to Hawaii from Oakland, San Jose, San Diego and Sacramento.

The launch of these routes comes after Southwest received its necessary certification for long overwater flights from the Federal Aviation Administration last week, USA Today reports. The 34-day government shutdown had postponed the certification process, delaying the airlines Hawaii launch date by several months.

The prices Southwest is charging for its flights are lower than prices offered by airlines at the same airports it plans to depart from. The News reports that Monday’s ticket prices for a one-way flight from Oakland to Hawaii could cost four times more than what Southwest has listed. Roundtrip prices from competitors can be more than $600 in the peak summer season.
