U.S. Rep. Michael Cloud tells KRIS-6 he supports President Trump’s declaration because he believes what is going on at the border is a national emergency.
“It’s not just about the wall, although that gets the attention,” Cloud said. “It’s about the boots on the ground, it’s about the immigration court judges, it’s about us having enough beds to take care of people. It’s about the whole package and it certainly is cause for concern.”
Congressman Cloud also says if eminent domain is needed to take private property for constructing a border wall, property owners should receive the proper compensation.
