A 29-year-old Corpus Christi man who was hit by a truck late Friday night has died from his injuries.
The victim, Alejandro Garcia, died Sunday night.
Police say he walked onto the road near the intersection of Laredo and 17th Street.
That’s when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The driver took off but later turned himself in.
The suspect, identified by police as 35-year-old Albert Martinez, is charged with causing an accident resulting in death, and suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
