Members of the United States Coast Guard were going to take a few U.S. Naval Cadets across the skies in a HH-60 Blackhawk helicopter, but mother nature said no.

The cadets were instead taken on a special tour of the Coast Guard Sector building.

The cadets ranged from ages ten to seventeen with many wanting to have a future in the United States Army, Marines, and Navy.

After hanging out with the U.S. Coast Guard some minds could change.

“First I wanted to do flying for the Navy such as Naval Aviation but now seeing the helicopter men and hearing about what they do is interesting I would like to do that too,” says Lein Dapilmoto.

The cadets were able to explore many rooms at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector / Air Station, listen to radio signals, and  learn more about helicopters.

“Ah man the helicopters, the planes, the different types of tech that they have I mean they got so many cool tech, the gym they have a really nice gym,” says Mason Dyer.

But no matter what branch in the military the cadets decide to work for, at a young age they know the importance of serving our country.
