Philippine boy so addicted to video games that he won’t eat for 48-hour periods

A mother has been filmed hand-feeding her 13-year-old son as he refuses to lift his fingers from his keyboard during a marathon 48-hour gaming session at a Philippine internet cafe.

The Daily Mail reports that the boy’s eyes don’t shift from the screen as his mother places food into his mouth, urging him by saying, “My poor child… Here, eat now.”

Instead, the boy becomes visibly agitated, worried that his mother could disrupt his gaming.

His mother, Lilybeth Marvel, 37, can be seen earlier in the video bringing a breakfast plate from her home to the internet cafe in the Phillippine town of Nueva Ecija about 180 miles northeast of Manila.

The woman appears to encourage her son to come home as she unsuccessfully attempts to puts nourishment in his mouth.

According to the Daily Mail, Marvel is worried that he won’t eat at all if she doesn’t bring him food during his marathon sessions of playing his favorite game ‘Rules of Survival.’
