Only hours after actorJussie Smollett was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, President Donald Trump called out the actor on Twitter.
.@JussieSmollett – what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) February 21, 2019
The “Empire” actor turned himself in to Chicago police early Thursday morning. It came after Smollett was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly staging a racist and homophobic attack against himself last month in Chicago.
In an interview on “Good Morning America,” Smollett said his alleged attacker mentioned Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again” during the alleged attack.
Smollett staged the hoax because he was “dissatisfied with his salary” on his FOX series, and to promote his career, according to Chicago Supt. Eddie Johnson at a Thursday morning press conference.
Should Trump have kept quiet on the matter?
Or was this a comment that will help the situation?
