Michael Troutman, a 1993 Sinton High School graduate, is coming home as the Pirates’ new athletic director and head football coach.
Troutman most recently was the assistant head coach for football and defensive coordinator at Collins High School, a 6A school in Klein north of Houston.
Details of exactly when Troutman will start at his new job are still to be determined.
Troutman will replace Tom Allen, who resigned after last season. Allen was stricken by Multiple Systems Atrophy and the disease shortened Allen’s coaching career.
