A survivor of the deadly 2015 Wimberley floods talked publicly about life after the tragedy that left his wife and two children dead.
Jonathan McComb spoke at a luncheon today for Reach Ministries at the Ortiz Center.
It’s been nearly four years since Laura, Andrew and Leighton McComb were killed when their cabin was swept away in those historic flood waters.
McComb says he’s relied on his faith to overcome his struggles.
He’s encouraged others to do the same by sharing some words he said during his family’s memorial.
“Live like it might be your last day,” McComb said. “Laugh until it hurts and don’t be afraid to love or to be loved but love uncontrollably and without any remorse.”
Jonathan McComb also shares his story in the latest book by best-selling author Max Lucado entitled “Unshakable Hope.”
