The new tax reforms that were passed in December 2017 by the Trump administration are taking effect this year.
Local tax agents at TaxPro share how consumers can see some positive results with this tax act.
“Those that are making reasonable amounts of money seem to be benefiting from the tax bills,” says local tax agent Bill Clark said.
For the ones who haven’t filed yet, expect some changes.
Some exemptions have been taken away and child tax credits have been doubled. Another change has lowered the tax rate.
Citizens who were previously taxed at 15 percent are now taxed at 12 percent.
