Police in Florida said a man allegedly shot his wife and parents-in-law after uncovering a sex tape of his spouse with his best friend.
William Brian Stillwell, 39, was arrested following a New Year’s Day triple-shooting at a Melbourne home.
According to Florida Today, Stillwell allegedly arrived at a backyard gathering and opened fire using a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in front of his children.
Melbourne police said a man, allegedly Stillwell, can be heard during a 911 accusing his wife of cheating on him as his 5-year-old twins begged him to stop.
One of his children is believed to have pleaded to Stillwell: “No, daddy. No. I don’t want anyone to die,” Orlando television station WFTV reported.
The suspect’s wife and mother-in-law underwent surgery on Thursday while Stillwell’s father-in-law was reportedly discharged from an area hospital.
Stillwell surrendered to police and was booked on charges of attempted murder and child abuse.
Stillwell allegedly told detectives that he saw a video on his wife’s phone of her having sex with his best friend before he attacked her family.
Police said Stillwell’s wife recently moved in with her parents because she was experiencing marital trouble.
