Could new hairstyle help John Cena get a movie contract?

Posted

WWE superstar John Cena doesn’t look the same without his short haircut.

Cena will explain his new tonsorial style on today’s edition of Ellen that will be shown at 4 p.m. on KRIS-TV.

“‘It’s weird to see you with hair!”  host Ellen DeGeneres told Cena, who grew out his hair over six months while filming a movie in China.

It’s a change for Cena, who has kept his hair extremely short “for as long as I can remember,” Cena said in comments that were highlighted on Sportsgossip.com. The change is causing some adjustments for him.

“But why not embrace the uncomfortable for once?” Cena asked, noting that he’s “totally uncomfortable” with his new hairstyle and wishes he could still go to his familiar old $8 haircut.

It’s a big change from the old days when the 6-foot-1, 251-pound Cena could “get out of bed” and be “ready to go” with his short hairstyle.

“It’s been awesome, because WWE fans are very dedicated and very devoted,” he said, joking that his new hairstyle caused some fans to tell him he has ruined their childhood.

“I’m just trying to figure my life out,” he said. “It’s cool to be able to try something new.”

DeGeneres also queries Cena about rumors he might become the next Marvel superhero Captain America after Chris Evans announced in October he’s leaving the iconic film series.

Who knows? Maybe Cena might follow in the footsteps of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who morphed from a wrestling superstar into a movie star.

What do you think of Cena’s new style? Do you like it as well as when he was merely wrestling?

And do you think it will help catapult his career on the silver screen?
