Police say a middle-aged man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a car.
The crash happened at the intersection of Compton and Waldron Road.
Investigators say the man was walking along the crosswalk around 7 p.m. Monday night when he was struck by a car. The female driver of the car pulled into a nearby fast food restaurant.
Police say witnesses told them at the time the vehicle struck the man, the car had the green light at the intersection.
As a result of the investigation, police closed off the area so investigators could gather additional evidence at the scene.
The man was transported to the hospital and police say he was in critical condition.
There is no word yet if the female driver will be charged in connection to the crash investigation.
