Border Patrol disrupts human smuggling attempt near Laredo

Border Patrol Agents near Laredo stopped a human smuggling attempt today involving 2 undocumented immigrants.According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, agents assigned to the checkpoint on Interstate 35, north of Laredo were inspecting a Ford F150, when a Border Patrol K9 alerted to the truck.During secondary inspection, agents discovered two immigrants hidden inside of a large duffel bag in the truck’s cab.CBP says an immigration inspection determined the immigrants to be from Mexico, and both were processed accordingly.The truck’s driver, a U.S. citizen was arrested.
