A taste of Vegas is coming to the Island University.
The 6th Annual Islander Athletic Fund Casino Night is happening Saturday, August 4th on campus inside the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi University Center, Anchor Ballroom.
Games at the event will include poker, blackjack, craps and roulette, along with slot machines. Casino Night also includes a dinner, a cash bar and lots of music.
This year’s silent auction will include a wide variety of items on which to bid. There will also be plenty of opportunity for interaction with Islanders coaches.
"We have made some major enhancements to our Casino Night and we hope Islander fans come out to enjoy what we consider one of the premier events of the entire year," said interim Director of Athletics Willis Wilson. "This event serves as a great opportunity for members of our community to interact with our coaching and administrative staff, while helping raise money that directly impacts our student-athletes. We can’t wait to have everyone back on campus to help kick off the next year of Islander Athletics."
KRIS 6 is helping to sponsor Casino Night, and Anchor Mike Gillaspia will once again emcee the event.
Doors open at 6:00 PM and tickets for the event start at just $75. All proceeds benefit the Islander Athletic Fund, which directly supports student-athlete scholarships at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
