This time around they will be named the Corpus Christi Raspas for three home games in July at Whataburger Field.

The Hooks will honor this local Hispanic sweet treat from July 5-7, as the team transforms into the Corpus Christi Raspas.

Whataburger Field will be the headquarters to the "unofficial" raspas capital of the world, as Corpus Christi is the former home to the world record for the largest snow cone.

Raspas Weekend features two fireworks shows, a Carlos Correa jersey giveaway, and a postgame concert by Grammy Award winning Tejano group Solido.

Thirty three Minor League baseball teams across the country are embracing the culture of their Hispanic/Latino communities and creating new part-time identities.

The "Copa de la Diversión" or "Fun Cup" is a season-long event where teams will bolster their marketing and customer service to create a culturally relevant gameday experinece through music, concessions and promotions.

This event will also feature  Tejano music, face painters, Mexican candy stations, Spanish public address announcing, appearances from local mariachi bands, and raspas inspired in-game contests will highlight the in-ballpark experience.

Fans can take home game-worn Raspas jerseys via an auction at hooks.milbauctions.com.

Proceeds benefit Westside Business Association and Communities in Schools – Coastal Bend.
