Fishing can be seen as a popular hobby in Port Aransas. This activity is usually more so on 4th of July weekend but in 2018 Independence Day falls on a Wednesday, right in the middle of a work week.
Local business owners in Port Aransas are not too worried about this weekday holiday affecting their business.
We spoke to employees with Dolphin Doc Inc. who say calls continue to come in left and right for folks attempting to claim their spot at the dock for the holiday.
Staff leaders with Old Town Cottage are not worried for however business not growing economically on a Wednesday. Their 18 cottages are almost sold out before the holiday.
