Many people in the Corpus Christi area have called the KRIS 6 Newsroom, asking if the roads are now clear since the rain has slowed down for the moment.

As of right now, KRIS 6 News can report the freeways like HWY 286 to SPID are not flooded with rain. However, there are pools of water underneath the overpass along those highways.

One area of Corpus Christi still has water on the roadways in the city’s west side that include the neighborhoods near Rockford Drive and West Point Road near Greenwood.

As of 12:20 Wednesday morning, the roads are clearing however another batch of tropical showers could cause another flooding event the city experience just after 8:00 pm Tuesday night.
