Judge Guy Williams is in trouble with the law again.

KRIS Six News has been told he was arrested Tuesday night for public intoxication and resisting arrest, according to jail officials.

Very few details are being released. According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, Williams was a passenger in a vehicle that crashed on Whitecap Boulevard and Park Road 22 when the arrest occurred. Williams was taken to the City Detention Center before being booked at the Nueces County Jail.

Williams was released from the jail at 5:21 a.m. on a $1,000 bail.

In March, Williams was on trial, accused of running a couple off of the road and pointing a gun at them during a road rage incident. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Williams was found not guilty of one count and a mistrial was declared on the other when a jury deadlocked.

Guy Williams was suspended from the bench due to the road rage incident and charges. He is not seeking re-election.

This is a developing story. Stay with KRIS 6 News for updates as they are received.
