If you have a teen at home, they’ve probably received a letter offering them a job for pretty good pay.
That’s the focus of our Fact Check.

Vector Marketing has sent letters to several teenagers across the Coastal Bend offering them $16 an hour.
Some viewers asked, "Fact or fiction, is the offer legit?"

Our Fact Check team looked into that and we found that is a fact, Vector Marketing is making a legitimate offer.

The Cedar Park-based company is a sales and marketing division of Cutco. Cutco hires teens to work as independent contractors and sell cutlery.
Teens can earn base pay and commission based on their sales.
Kelly Trevino with the Better Business Bureau says the next time you get this kind of flyer in the mail, do some research.

"Make sure that you verify that it’s a legitimate business. You can do that by going to www.BBB.org.

Take a look at the business profile and make sure that things add up. Is the phone number the same? Have they been in business for as many years as it says? Make sure you verify who they say they are." said Trevino.
