Four years and more than $30,000 later, a casino ship that was proposed to come to the Aransas Pass area appears to be a bust.

We first told you about the "Pride of Texas Casino Ship," proposed by businessman Vidal Conde back in 2014.

Back then, Conde planned to bring the ship to the Corpus Christi Marina and Aransas Pass.

He even sold 1,000 first maiden voyage tickets for more than thirty dollars a piece.

Those plans failed, and Conde said he was going to take the ship to Galveston.

KRIS 6 News looked into the status of the ship, and according to a website,  the casino ship is "closed."

We called and texted Vidal Conde; he has not responded.
