A mother and her son talk to KRIS 6 News about their prom experience and their unforgettable night together.
Joe Angel, a senior at Collegiate High School, knew he wanted to take his mom to prom since middle school.
His mother, Vanessa Moreno, she didn’t believe it at first until her son asked if she had picked out a dress for prom night.
"I knew all the sacrifices my mom made for me. I know that it was a huge sacrifice to drop out of high school when she had me at the age of 17, so I figured that even to take her to prom would be a fantastic idea," Joe says.
Once prom week came, Vanessa said she felt like a teenage girl again while shopping for a prom dress. Joe picked her up the night of the prom with a corsage in hand.
Joe says his mom is the most important person to him and he loves everything that she has done for him.
