A local couple is letting their family and friends know they are okay after the engine on the plane there were flying on blew up.
The Associated Press says a Boeing 737 bound from New York to Dallas with 149 people aboard, made an emergency landing in Philadelphia just before noon.

Alfred Tumlinson along with his wife was aboard that plane as the incident unfolded according to social media post.
His wife also posted on social media that she was safe after the plane made an emergency landing according to her Facebook page.
Both said they were okay and posted they would never forget this incident.
