A Brownsville funeral home buried a man without his organs and offered the decedent’s family two choices: disinterment or cremation, according to a lawsuit on file in Cameron County.
Mary Ruiz tells 6 Investigates her brother, Ernesto Eguia, died in June, 2015 of heat stroke. His body was autopsied by the Harris County Medical Examiner and then, transported to a Brownsville funeral home for burial.
And that is where, she says, the nightmare began.
