A man accused of killing a 21-year-old woman back in October had a court session with a Magistrate Judge Tuesday morning.

26-year-old Joseph Matthew Tejeda is charged with shooting and killing Breanna Wood last year in October.

Wood’s body was recovered last week, at an abandoned farm house off of State Highway 666 and State Highway 1833. Police were led to the location by an inmate who says he took Wood’s body to that place.

After her body was identified, investigators say an inmate told police Tejeda confided to him that he had shot Breanna Wood in the 800 Block of Hancock Avenue.

Police say Breanna Woods was last seen at the PMI store, in the 900 Block of South Tancahua Street, just a few feet from the 800 Block of Hancock Avenue.

Meanwhile, in Court Tuesday morning, Joseph Matthew Tejeda told the Judge that he wanted a court-appointed attorney and was told he had a bond up to a million dollars.

After signing court documents, Tejeda made an obscene gesture to local media who were recording the events inside the courtroom.

He also blew a kiss to his mother.
