Michelle Hofmann is a KRIS 6 News Anchor and Reporter who is passionate about advocating for the communities she serves.
Michelle is an Asian-American, born in Manila, a city in the Philippines, and moved to the United States when she was three years old.
She grew up in Reno, Nevada and started her career in journalism as an associate producer while financially supporting herself through college. After Michelle graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno she started reporting in her hometown and eventually became an anchor for her first station’s late evening shows.
Michelle is an Emmy-nominated multimedia journalist, who has covered a wide range of topics, from devastating wildfires to protests and riots, and also politics and presidential campaigns.
Although Michelle believes covering all informational news is vital, she finds fulfillment and joy in covering stories that highlight positive community outreach efforts and the people behind them.
Michelle moved to Corpus Christi and accepted her position at KRIS 6 News in September of 2022, hoping to build her life in the Coastal Bend with her now husband, Bryan Hofmann. Bryan is a KRIS 6 News investigative reporter.
Off the clock, Michelle enjoys traveling and exploring nature. She loves sharing her experiences through photography and videography.
Michelle also dedicates her time to training at the gym. As an amateur physique competitor, she hopes to help and inspires others to find confidence within themselves while maintaining a happy and healthy lifestyle.
