Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11 and while the federal holiday is a great day to honor those who have served in the U.S. military, it also means government offices and other places are closed.

Here's a roundup of what will be open and closed on Veterans Day.

Banks are typically closed, but this doesn't mean all of them are. Federal Reserve Banks, Bank of America and Wells Fargo will be closed but TD Bank is open.

Schools are usually closed as well, but be sure to double check with your kids' schools just in case.

Mail services are both closed and open. The U.S. Postal Service won't be delivering mail on Monday and post offices will be closed. However, UPS and FedEx continue to deliver and pickup packages on Veterans Day, though some of their locations may be closed.

Local, state and federal courts are closed.

All non-essential federal government offices are closed.

Garbage and recycling services are usually moved to another day of the week if they fall on Veterans Day but check with your local offices if your garbage can runneth over.

Libraries are typically closed, but check with your local branch.

National Parks are open and are even waiving entrance fees for the day.

Retail locations like restaurants, shopping centers, department stores and grocery stories are typically open on Veterans Day.
