Janecia Stevenson is a News Producer for KRIS 6 News in Corpus Christi.
She is from Amarillo, Tx but spent the last few years floating between the San Antonio and Austin area.
Janecia graduated in Fall of 2022 from Texas State University with her BS in Electronic Media (Mass Communication) and her BFA in Theatre Performance and Production. In her time at Texas State she served as the NAACP Press and Publicity chair, member of Texas State Council of scholars, Sigma Alpha Lambda honors member, Alpha Sigma Lambda honors member, and Alpha Psi Omega team leader. She also spent some time on the University's anchor desk and worked as a reporter and photographer for the University's newscast, 'Bobcat Update'.
Janecia is immensely grateful to be apart of the KRIS 6 News team and happily serve the Coastal Bend a fresh perspective each morning.
When she is not at work, you can find her at a local coffee shop, the beach, working out or exploring new places with friends. Her love for journalism sprouts from her equal love of creative storytelling.
