Few Showers Tuesday

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Onshore flow is maintaining high moisture content in the atmosphere over the Coastal Bend, but a persistent upper level ridge overhead is keeping rain producing disturbances generally north of the region.

A brief weakness in the ridge will allow isolated showers on Tuesday; otherwise, expect skies to remain mostly cloudy but with virtually no rainfall through most of the week.

A more prominent disturbance moves across the State from southwest to northeast Friday afternoon through Saturday, and its impact on South Texas will dictate scattered showers and a few thunderstorms.

As the ridge flattens on Sunday, we can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms to persist. Highs will remain in the middle to upper 70s through the week, with lows in the middle to upper 60s.
