Greek Festival to spotlight food and music

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A taste of Greek culture will be on display in the Coastal Bend this weekend, as the 56th annual Greek Festival will feature food and music sure to excite your senses!

Everything gets started on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 502 S. Chaparral St.

Traditional and delicious Greek dishes and pastries, beer and wine will be available. Also featured will be a Greek Market, church tours, an area for children and music and dancing by the Hellenic Dancers.

Events will continue from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free with varying costs for the foods, which include dolmades, gyro sandwiches, baklava, pastitsio, souvlaki, baklava cheesecake, ketaifi and koularia.
