ROBSTOWN, TEXAS — It was one year ago tonight when a shocking crime rocked the Robstown community.
Satruday night, family and friends gathered to remember four victims who were killed in a murder-suicide.
According to police, Richard Starry last year shot and killed his 85-year old father, Ernest Starry and his wife Thelma Montalvo. The shooting happened at the Retama Manor Nursing Center.
Before that, police believe he also killed Montalvo's 41-year old son Roel Mireles and 13-year-old Isiah Starry.
According to police, Richard Starry took his own life after killing his father and his wife.
It's not surprising that since the incident family members say that life has not been the same.
Felicia Montalvo, Thelma's sister, said, "What happened was a tragedy and it shouldn't have never happened."
After the service, relatives prayed for those lives lost outside of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Robstown.
