KINGSVILLE, Texas — The fun continues in Kingsville this weekend as they celebrate the Christmas season with La Posada de Kingsville!
The Festival of Lights (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will feature pony rides, food and Christmas-themed goodies available from a variety of arts & crafts vendors. Visitors will also have an opportunity to visit downtown stores and restaurants.
The annual Children’s Snow Day (10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.) is bigger and better than ever, with help from presenting sponsor Thomas J. Henry. Not only will there be more snow in the pavilion (251 S. 6th St.), but there will also be two snow slides this year.
Santa gets in on the fun, too. He’ll start his day taking pictures with the kids during Snow Day festivities. He will end his day wrapping up the La Posada de Kingsville Parade of Lights (7 p.m.).
Everyone is invited to stay through Sunday, when the First Baptist Church has its Christmas Cantata with the Worship Choir presenting ‘What Kind of Throne’ at 10:45 a.m.
The Kingsville Noon Rotary Club will also host its first Parade of Homes, featuring five beautifully decorated homes to help you get in the Christmas Spirit. Tickets are available at Kleberg Bank or Coldwell Banker in Kingsville or may be purchased on Sunday at Dr. Mark Hussey’s Home (905 N. Armstrong). Those tickets are $12 each or two for $20.
The Kingsville Chorale will wrap up the weekend with a concert entitled ‘Christmas with Rudolph & Friends’ at 4 p.m. at the Bellamah Music Building. Tickets are $5 for adults, with children and students admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the Kingsville Chamber of Commerce and the Kingsville Visitors Center or at the door.
