CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After facing setbacks earlier this year, district officials, campus representatives, and community leaders gathered on Monday to break ground on the site of the new Mary Carroll High School.
The current Mary Carroll High School building opened in 1957. The current location, at 5301 Weber, is the second-largest and third-oldest building in the Corpus Christi Independent School District.
The new school, which is set to open in August 2022, will be located at the corner of Kostoryz Road and Saratoga Boulevard. The $175M project is funded by a bond passed in 2018.
