SKIDMORE, Texas — Skidmore-Tynan ISD officials learned Sunday that a student who attends Skidmore-Tynan High School has tested positive for COVID-19.

The student who was diagnosed was last on the campus Saturday at a cross country meet and the previous night at the school's home football game. The district will not be releasing their name because of privacy requirements.

The district is notifying staff members and parents of students who might have come in "close contact" with the student.

All district classrooms, buses and the cafeteria have been deep cleaned and sanitized over the weekend. And those who were in close contact with the student will remain off campus for 14 days to ensure they do not have the virus.
