Nueces County reports one new COVID-related death

4:42 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 116 new COVID cases on Sunday, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 18,830.

Of those cases 145 currently are in the hospital and 68 are in ICU. The county reports that 11,690 patients have recovered from COVID.

4:05 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting one new COVID death, pushing the local pandemic-wide total to 352. The patient was a female in her 60s. Her comorbidities included hypertension, diabetes, and liver disease.

3 p.m. - Kleberg County officials are reporting one new COVID-related death at and 28 new COVID cases in the county. The county now has recorded 25 COVID-related deaths and 631 COVID cases during the pandemic.

5:13 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 50 new cases on Saturday, bring the county's total to 18,714 since March. Of those cases, 162 people are being treated in hospitals and 70 of them are in the ICU.

4:10 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting three COVID-19-related deaths on Saturday. The three men were in their 40s, 60s and 80s, and had underlying medical issues such as hypertension and coronary artery disease. The county's COVID-19 death toll is now 351.

4:18 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District confirms nine COVID-related deaths on Friday, pushing the pandemic wide death toll in the county to 348.

The patients were seven males and two females with ages ranging in their 40s (2), 50s, 70s (3), and 80s (3). The comorbidities of the patients included diabetes, obesity, asthma, hypertension and chronic kidney disease.


8/27 updates

Jim Wells county confirms twenty-three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases to 980.

5:24 p.m. - Nueces County reports 92 new cases Thursday.

4:20 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District confirms three COVID-19 related deaths Thursday.

The patients were 3 males with ages between 50 and 90. Their comorbidities included hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and diabetes.

Nueces county now has 339 deaths related to coronavirus.

3:45 p.m. - Jim Wells County Judge Juan Rodriguez and the Office of Emergency Management one additional confirmed case of COVID-19 one case removed bringing the total number of cases to 957.

8/26 updates:

11:56 p.m. - Kleberg County officials report one additional COVID-related death and two more COVID cases from one household. The county's pandemic-wide count is 593 patients. The county has reported 251 cases in August, compared to 276 in July.

4:20 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District released nine more local COVID deaths on Wednesday, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 336. The county also reports 95 new cases, pushing the pandemic-wide total of COVID cases in the county to 18,444.

The deceased patients were seven males and two females with ages ranging in their 50s, 60s, 70s (4), 80s, and 90s (2). The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension, chronic kidney disease, coronary artery disease, and diabetes.

The county reports 873 patients who have been hospitalized with COVID symptoms, including 175 currently in hospitals and 76 in ICU. The county's current total of recovered COVID patients is 10,525.

8/25 updates

4:40 p.m. - 168 cases confirmed Tuesday in Nueces county.

86 of those cases come from an outbreak at a detention center near Robstown.

4:30 p.m. - Brooks county is at 197 total cases. 143 recovered, 40 active. 14 deaths

4:18 p.m. - The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Public Health District confirms eleven COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday.

The patients were 6 males and 5 females between 40 and 90 years old with comorbidities including kidney disease, heart disease, and hypertension.

3:07 p.m. - Aransas County is at 198 cases total.

3:06 p.m. - Jim Hogg county is still holding at 73 cases. But they have had two confirmed fatalities.

3:05 p.m. - San Patricio County confirms a total of 1208 cases.

3:03 p.m. - Duval County is reporting 279 COVID-19 cases. They have 175 that have recovered but have had eight confirmed fatalities.

8/24 updates

Jim Wells reports two additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of cases to 943.

5:15 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 112 new cases on Monday, for a total of 18,181 cases reported. Of those cases, 209 remain hospitalized and 77 are in the ICU.

4:14 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting three deaths. The patients are two men and a woman who were in their 40s and 80s. The patients suuffered from underlying conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.
