The Corpus Christi holiday staple is back! Candy Cane Lane is ready to kick off the fun this Saturday evening with live music, food trucks, Santa, and of course, plenty of festive lights.

There are plenty of streets that will be decorated in the festive lights. Each neighbor that decorates for Candy Cane Lane puts in the time, effort and costs to make this tradition bigger and better every year.

This years Candy Cane Lane, is also giving back to the community in a different way. In support of the Young Heroes of the Guard, people are encouraged to bring toys for children at Driscoll’s Children Hospital. The collection site will be at 6022 McAlpin Dr and on O’Malley St, just look for the soldiers! They’re hoping to collect 1,000 toys this year. Candy Cane Lane will also have collection sites for blankets for the homeless, as well as other fundraisers throughout the neighborhood.

The Candy Cane Lane Celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, neighbors are asking the community to park away from the streets and walk, scooter or Uber/Lyft to the neighborhood lights.

This year there will also be live music from a Houston-based band, TJ Funk Band. Many sponsors helped make this celebration come together, Accurate Welders and Inspections,Skip Entertainment and EAS Resources, INC.

This year, on December 18th there will also be a Jingle Bell Lighted Bike Parade between 6-8 p.m.

All events are FREE and OPEN to the public.
