CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Taft has a new playground thanks to dedicated members of the community, the Rebuild Texas Fund and Kaboom!
"As a small close-knit community, we’ve come a long way from Hurricane Harvey and are slowly rebuilding from the aftermath," posted the Friends of the Taft City Parks.
People of all ages gathered to construct the new playground today at Hidalgo Park in Taft. Texas.

"We have student organizations out here from junior high and high school, the school, and local groups working to give our kids the chance to #getoutandplay,"they posted.
The park was officially opened to the public in a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today at 2:30 p.m..
