If you are looking to add a pet to your family, think adoption first! That’s the message from Corpus Christi Animal Care Services.

Our Pet of the Week may be a good candidate.

Lucy is spayed, microchipped and ready for her new family. This loveable 3-year-old Corgi mix was surrendered by her previous owner, and as is typically the  case in situations like this, she will need time to learn the rules of her new family. However, she is very obedient and seems to be a quick study. Lucy could be the perfect addition to the right family!

CCACS is located at 2626 Holly Road and is open from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. each afternoon, including weekends. To reach them by phone, call (361) 826-4630.

Although it is not required, you are allowed to bring other pets with you on your visit to make sure they will be compatible with whichever animal you may want to take home.

NOTE: This Saturday, CCACS will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at Noon for anyone who is currently helping or who is interested in learning about helping them do what they do.

Be sure to visit the CCACS Facebook page at corpuschristianimalcareservices.

You can also go to www.PetHarbor.com. There you will find pictures and information on all of the animals who are waiting to be adopted from CCACS.
