Texas Body Paint Festival coming this weekend 

Now in its third year, the Texas Body Paint Festival is expecting more than 30 artists to converge on Padre Island Saturday. Some have even been featured on TV shows like Face Off (Syfy) and Skin Wars (Netflix). 

Guests will enjoy an experience like none other, as body artists work to create incredible pieces of living art. This year, more than $1,500 in cash prizes will be up for grabs. 

This event will be held at The Waves Resort featuring Schlitterbahn Corpus Christi, and will include: 

Family Time / Noon to 6 p.m. 

All ages are welcome with face/body painting, food, music and fun for the whole familyEnjoy the waterpark, live entertainment and shopping with local vendors. 

Kids ages 13-17 are invited to participate in the Student Face Painting Showcase! Each participating student receives a pair of complimentary tickets to see the Corpus Christi Hooks and a chance to win cash prizes. 

Families can get painted up by professional artists and also enjoy all of the rides and fun at Schlitterbahn. Everyone is also invited to shop with lots of local vendors and enjoy food from The Eats Epicurea at The Waves Resort. 

Full Body Paint Competition / 6 p.m. to Midnight 

Artists and their living canvasses will begin presenting themselves to guests, so that they can enjoy the wonderful artwork up close.  

Guests can also enjoy dinner and music, and even get painted themselves! The competition presentation will begin at 9 p.m. for judging and awards.
