Fun. Fabulous. Famous.

All words used to describe the annual Bernie’s Crawfish Boil, now in its 11th year.

The Del Mar College (DMC) Foundation and Trustee Emeritus Bernie Paulson are “rounding ‘em up” for the Thursday, March 28 event, used to raise funds for DMC student scholarships.

In addition to the promise of a boot scootin’ evening featuring local favorite John Eric, there will once again be an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil with a menu that also includes shrimp and sausage, veggies, tea, sodas and an open bar.

The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. and is slated to end at 9:30 p.m. at the Concrete Street Old Market Pavilion (717 Power Street). Other activities include a silent auction, caricatures, face painting and a photo booth

Last year, the DMC Foundation gave out more than $1.7 million in scholarships to 1,614 students.

Those who plan to attend Bernie’s Famous Crawfish Boil are asked to purchase tickets or RSVP by Thursday, March 21.

Individual tickets are $200 per person. Tables of eight and scholarship sponsorships are also available starting at $1,500.
