Everyone is invited to show their support for CASA of the Coastal Bend by coming out to Whataburger Field on Thursday, August 9th.
Not only will you see the Corpus Christi Hooks take on the Tulsa Drillers, but a portion of the ticket sales will go to CASA if you purchase either $9 corner box seating, $11 reserved seating or $12 field reserved seating.
Prior to the game, graduates of the July CASA Advocate Training class will be sworn in on the field. Once the CASA Oath is taken, these new advocates will be able to serve children in foster care.
CASA will also have an information table set up for game attendees to learn more about the organization.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Coastal Bend is on a mission to speak up for and find permanent homes for foster children in crisis throughout Nueces, San Patricio and Aransas Counties. This is done through volunteers, who gain a firm understanding of a child’s case and serve as the “eyes and ears” of the judge who ultimately decides that child’s fate. CASA volunteers work to find each child a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
