It is nearly time for this year’s Buc Days celebration to begin!

Tickets are on sale for Rodeo Corpus Christi, now in its 27th year. Both the cowboys and musicians will be kicking-off Buc Days by hitting the dirt Thursday, April 26th through Sunday, April 29th at the American Bank Center Arena.

Once again this year, two hours of ProRodeo will be followed by the lowering of a stage from the rafters to allow for an hour-long concert.

Performers for 2018 are:

  • Thursday, April 26th at 7:00 PM: ProRodeo & Josh Abbott Band
  • Friday, April 27th at 7:00 PM: ProRodeo & Turnpike Troubadours
  • Saturday, April 28th at 7:00 PM: ProRodeo & Robert Earl Keen
  • Sunday, April 29th at 3:00 PM: ProRodeo & Intocable

Tickets range from $15 to $50 and may be purchased at either www.BucDays.com or www.AmericanBankCenter.com.

The fun continues May 3rd through 13th for Buc Days, which features a new and improved stage to be featured within the Stripes Carnival. The stage will include:

The Red Dragon Pirates from Port Aransas: Inspired by the seafaring raiders who helped defend the Gulf City’s bay during the war of 1812, everyone will be treated to plenty of swashbuckling, deck-swabbing, duels and “arrrrggghhh” puns with this motley crew of actors. They will be performing in several shows each day.

Friday Night Movie Nights: Presented by Ashley HomeStore, The Buc Days Stage and the Water’s Edge Park will utilize the upgraded park features and lawn. Bring a blanket and enjoy the movie HOOK on Friday, May 4th, and family favorite, THE SANDLOT, on Friday, May 11th. Both movies will begin at 8:30 PM and be displayed on a large LED screen.

A Saturday Night Concert: Hometown hero Roger Creager will be performing on Saturday, May 12th. The Corpus Christi born musician presents the perfect concert to be featured at the newly renovated park on the Bayfront. The concert starts at 9:00 PM. Jake Ward will open the show at 6:30 PM. Gate tickets are $6 for Adults, $4 for children. Admission will also be granted to those who purchase a carnival wristband.
