CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A series of weak upper-level disturbances will glide through areas just west and north of the Coastal Bend this week, so only modest rainfall totals are expected through Thursday.

A stronger system will accompany a cold front Friday to bring cooler, wetter conditions Friday through the weekend.

While most of the week remains humid, breezy and warm, with only small amounts of rain, a much cooler environment sets up behind a polar front set to arrive Friday morning.

Expect highs in the 80s with lows from the upper 60s to lower 70s Wednesday and Thursday, but cooling to highs in the 60s and 70s Friday through the weekend.

You may need a jacket and umbrella this weekend, with lows in the 50s and rain likely Saturday and Sunday.
