CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — Another volatile weekend of rapidly changing weather features is underway for the Coastal Bend, with a cool and damp Saturday giving way to a rapidly heating and drying Sunday.
A weak cold front eased through the area early today, with moisture lifting over the cool air to create a canopy of low clouds, light rain, drizzle and fog.
That all changes Sunday. The cool front retreats north as a warm front, then a dry line pushes through to clear skies, sending humidity tumbling and temperatures soaring.
After a slight cooling Sunday night, expect slightly above normal temperatures for the remainder of the coming week.
The best chances for rain will be on Wednesday and again late Saturday, as a pair of upper level disturbances push cold fronts through the region.
Little change in temperatures is expected from either system, however, with highs in the middle 80s and lows from the middle 60s to lower 70s.
