Council members gave final approval to a proposed affordable living complex for the elderly on 6th street...between buford and hancock.
The city will invest $500,000 to help fund the project which will be known as Fish Pond Living.
The facility will provide new homes for residents of the Sea Gulf Villa Apartments on Chaparral Street downtown.
Construction on the new complex is expected to take about two years.
And residents would be able to move in sometime around March 2022.
