CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A powerful spring storm system generated a massive line of strong-to-severe thunderstorms overnight extending from the Red River to the Rio Grande.
Much of the Coastal Bend received from an inch to three inches of rain and strong wind gusts.
The coming week will be warmer and drier.
With the departure of the upper-level disturbance bringing the thunderstorms, skies will gradually clear and temperatures will return to above normal.
A stray shower or two on Sunday will dot the coast, then mostly sunny conditions through midweek will allow afternoon temperatures near 90.
Isolated showers return Thursday through Saturday.
