Lots of weekend festivities going on and the weather, for the most part, was cooperative as long as you didn’t mind the tropical storm force winds that were in the area on Saturday! The sunshine was plentiful, but those winds were definitely a nuisance. Coming up ahead this week we’ll have plenty more wind, more clouds and warm temperatures.
For tonight, it will be mainly clear, cool and dry. Low: 54 Wind: SSE 4-8 MPH
Monday will be very nice with lots of sunshine, but as high pressure moves east winds will be on the increase around 15-25 out of the south-southeast with a few more clouds by the late afternoon. High: 81
Deepening low pressure will move into the Rockies by Tuesday and Wednesday and that will tighten up the pressure gradient here in South Texas. So, expect more wind through much of the week along with highs in the low to mid 80s. Clouds will be on the increase and we’ll go with mainly cloudy skies on Wednesday with just a few stray showers.
The associated surface frontal boundary to the large storm system in the Rockies will move into the Coastal Bend Thursday morning and will come with a few isolated thundershowers. There is potential for severe weather, but those chances are out of the area and north of us. Still, we’ll monitor closely. The cooler air will lag behind, but we’ll clear out with sunshine by Thursday afternoon.
Friday and Saturday look very nice with less wind, drier air, and highs in the low to mid 80s with morning lows in the upper 50s.
Easter Sunday the winds will ramp back up, highs will be in the middle 80s with partly cloudy skies and increasing humidity.
