Hilliard acceptance of the scholarship continues an athletic legacy at the school started by his father, Bob Hilliard, who was a four-year tennis letterman at St. Edward’s from 1976-80.
Robbie Hilliard is a three-year varsity letterman with the Texans, and an academic all-district and a team captain each of the last two seasons. He also is a National Honor Society member at Ray. He’s following in the footsteps of his father, who graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s.
“I applied to St. Edward’s because I felt like I would be proud to call it home for the next four years,” Robbie Hilliard said. “It has a positive vibrancy to it. It was an honor to meet the players and coaching staff and I believe St. Ed’s is the best place for me to continue my academic and athletic career.”
